You guys, it’s August. That means my baby is due NEXT MONTH! Where the heck has time gone?
It STILL feels like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant. Yet here I am, collecting baby used baby stuff from friends, researching cloth diapers, registering for stuff like crazy, buying baby furniture and anticipating mat leave. So weird how things change.
Layne accepted a new job so he won’t be gone all the time. It’s still out of town, but only in Rocky so he can commute every day and be home every night. Plus he won’t be sent away ever so no three week or more stints away. I’m happy about this, even though it’s a bit of a pay cut.
I just got us set up so we’re insured under each other’s vehicles. It worked out to be cheaper for him under my policy then what he was paying himself at his insurance company. Crazy! We are definitely working on getting some stuff taken care of since we are quickly running out of time!
What can I tell you about this week? The first trimester fatigue is back, I’m tired all the time again. It definitely sucks because I know after the third trimester comes a lifetime of no sleep raising a kid. That’s kind of rude. They should leave the fatigue out of the last trimester so you can live your life before it ends (mostly kidding).
I’m stealing a weekly update from Rachel (one of the new blogs I follow after meeting her at the blog meetup!)
How far along? 32 weeks, apparently
How big is baby? a large jicama, haha
Weight gain? I don’t step on the scale at home so I have no idea, will wait until next doctor appointment.
Gender? Boy
Symptoms: Aside from this giant belly I have? Sore back, swollen feet, and having to pee a million times a night.
Sleep? It’s a process these days. Well, the sleep part is fine, but when I want to turn over in the night, it’s a process. I literally have to sit up and then turn over. It’s so annoying, especially because I flip flop from side to side.
Food Cravings: Chocolate Cheerios and juice
Movement: Never stops. Last night he was kicking me in the ribs and it was making me jump. You know how it feels when someone pokes you in the side? It doesn’t quite hurt, it doesn’t quite tickle, but it makes you jump? That, from the inside.
Belly Button: I’d describe it as a castle with a moat. It’s an outie, but still has a bit of a dip around it. It’s weird.
What I’m looking forward too: Getting the spare bed moved out of the new baby room this weekend, getting the crib moved in and set up, setting up the new dresser and getting a few things organized in there!
Pregnancy Moments with Layne: None really this week since he’s been away at work.
Belly Photo: The moment you’ve all been waiting for! I managed to find the USB I thought I lost (it was in a hoodie pocket) so now I have ALL of my belly photos!
