Music Monday: Hedley!

I had mentioned last week that I had been out of the office the majority of the afternoon Wednesday for a work event. It just so happens that my company was a co-sponsor for the Hedley concert at Westerner Days! I was involved with the project from the beginning so was super excited when I was asked to help out for the evening of the show!

My job was pretty easy so it hardly seemed like work. I helped the other girls set up our tradeshow booth and handed out some swag for awhile before accompanying some contest winners to the VIP meet and greet! We sat back and watched all of the winners’ excitement as they got to meet the band, get autographs and photos. After all of the winner’s had their chance, we were able to have our picture taken and get stuff signed.

Myself and some coworkers with Hedley!

The funniest thing was the drummer (in the black shirt beside me) started chatting pregnancy with me. He started off saying that I must be about 7 months, which is correct, but totally bizarre that he pegged it. Then asked if I planned to have a  natural birth. I was completely thrown off by these questions coming from a random dude in a pretty well known band. Hilarious. I’ll never forget that meet and greet!

After that it was time for the show! We saw that all of our winners had the best seats in the first two rows before taking our seats in the third row. Not a bad place to be. The show itself was decent, despite not being much of a Hedley fan. I don’t mind the songs I hear on the radio, but that’s about as far as it goes for me. They were pretty entertaining and our contest winners had a great time so that’s what mattered the most. Not too bad of an evening at ‘work’ if you ask me! If only I could get paid to be at concerts all the time…

Sounds like an awesome work event! I love when random people talk pregnancy with me. I guess it’s pretty much something that effects everyone at some point in their lives.

Usually I only get into pregnancy conversations with other women, not the male drummer of Hedley! haha, I’ll never get over how random that was.
