Music Monday: Settle Down

26 years ago this really awesome band formed in a garage in Anaheim, California. Nine years later, I stumbled across a music video on TV while visiting my grandmother that certifiably changed my life, for a nine year old. Now here I am, 17 years later, still entranced by No Doubt and their lead singer Gwen Stefani.

Today made me giddier then heck when the band released their newest single after an 11 year hiatus. It captures the old and loved sound of classic No Doubt with a twist of the Jamaican flavor from their 2001 release, Rock Steady.

This single makes me SO pumped for the release of their new album Push and Shove, which has only been in the making for the past five years. It’s set to release September 25, just two days before my due date and four days before my birthday. Happy birthday to me and the bun!

What band have you loved the longest?

Any albums coming out this year that you’re SO excited for?
