It’s a…

As you  may remember, Layne took me to Build-A-Bear on Mother’s Day, where together we found out the gender of our baby and then made a bear for it together. I then had the lovely Sarah of Cuppitycakes Bakeshop make me some custom cupcakes with colored filling to take home to my family to reveal the gender. Sarah has always been my go-to girl for cupcakes, not only because they are probably the best I’ve ever tasted, but she always decorates them so stunningly. (You may remember the cupcakes I had made for my best friend’s lingerie shower last summer).

She did such an amazing job for being given such short notice to make these for me. She’s truly a wonderful girl.

I could hardly wait to get to my parents house and finish dinner so I could share the news with them (and dig in to the delicious smelling cupcakes!). So now that they know I can share with all of you curious folk who have been pestering me for nearly a week!

What could it be?

Is that a hint of color I see?

It's a little blue pirate!

Which can only mean one thing! It’s a boy!

It’s funny hearing what everyone had predicted and their reasoning behind it. Most people thought girl, but a select few got it right. I am happy and can’t wait to meet the little guy!

He’s definitely been busy. I can feel him moving constantly, although not yet from the outside. Today I had quite the giggle as my doctor was trying to get his heartbeat and Mr. Bun kept moving around on him. It was quite the scene.

I got some insight onto the rashy mess that has been my neck the past few weeks. The nurse at my appointment today said it looked like eczema and recommend I start taking cod liver oil and vitamin B. She also suggested discontinuing use of my face wash, which is potentially drying my skin too much. She recommended the Jane Iredale Magic Mitt instead, although I’ve been hearing a lot about the Norwex facial clothes too which she said would work just the same. Even Janetha over at Meals and Moves posted about cutting her face wash for Norwex.  I think I will look into it, even though I’m leary about getting into another multi-level-marketing product again.

Besides that things have been business as usual.

Update:
Weight Gained:  8lbs – up about 7 since my last prenatal appointment
Cravings: nothing
Aversions: nothing! I’m all into regular eats again!
Missing: My boyfriend when he works away all week :-(
